May 11, 2016: Have you ever stepped off a bus and realized you’ve left your personal item on the seat? What do you do? There are a few ways to contact MiWay to find out if the item you lost was found. You can call Customer Service at 905-615-4636 or you can visit the MiWay Information and Lost and Found Booth at the City Centre Transit Terminal. Be sure to provide a detailed description of the item you lost to help MiWay find the right item that belongs to you. Depending on what route you took, it may take at least 24 hours for any found items to be processed. All items left on a bus, whether turned in by a fellow passenger or driver, is processed through our system. Every effort is made to process these items quickly but depending where and when they were turned in, it can take up to 2 days. We ask for your patience and understanding in this process.
Wallets, purses and government issued identification are taken to the police station when found. If you lost one of these items, it’s best to contact Peel Regional Police at 905-453-3311.
Your items are important to you. We encourage customers to take a second look to make sure they have all their belongings before they step off the bus.
