Welcome to the MiWay Blog brought to you by MiWay (the City of Mississauga’s Transit Division). Thanks for stopping by!
Each week we will provide updates on MiWay services, events and projects, including the Mississauga Transitway
MiWay serves a growing population of 752,000 across 179 square kilometres in Mississauga. MiWay’s mission is to provide a customer-focused transit service that offers safe, accessible and efficient transportation options for all citizens. Visit miway.ca for more information.
The Mississauga Transitway will make it faster and easier for customers to travel across the city, bypassing traffic congestion for a more reliable commute.
On Nov. 17, 2014, MiWay service began on the first phase of the transitway with stops at the new Central Parkway, Cawthra, Tomken and Dixie stations. In 2016, the phase two stations at Erin Mills, Tahoe, Etobicoke Creek were completed. The final stations: Winston Churchill, Spectrum, Orbitor and Renforth Gateway are expected to be completed in 2017.
Construction of the Mississauga Transitway is made possible through funding from the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, Metrolinx and the City of Mississauga.
